Exploring Little Canada🍁

Last week, our students embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Little Canada in Downtown Toronto for a special Community Outing. The trip was a perfect blend of cultural exploration, hands-on learning, and creative inspiration. Launch students were taken on a stunning journey through miniature replicas of iconic Canadian landmarks, from the bustling streets of Toronto to the serene landscapes of the Rockies. It was a fascinating way for our students to connect with the heart of our country, all while having fun and learning new things!

Over the past few weeks, students have been diving into the world of miniatures as part of their art curriculum. They’ve been learning about scale, attention to detail, and the art of crafting tiny versions of everyday objects. Through this project, students developed both their technical skills and their imagination, building models that reflect the same meticulous care and precision they would later witness at Little Canada.

Community Outing like this help to build connections between classroom learning and the world around us. These experiences allow students to gain new perspectives, deepen their understanding of the subjects they study, and foster a sense of community.
