Friday Night Socials for Adolescents & Young Adults

Being social is an essential part of a happy adult life. We love our friends! We want to have fun events and activities to look forward to. We need and want people who ‘get’ us and enjoy our company

That’s why Friday Night Social, for adolescents and young adults with autism and other intellectual disabilities was created many years ago, and is still going strong today. FNS is suitable for adolescents (13+) and young adults who require some support or facilitation of social skills and friendships, and is open to both Brighton students and the public.

Every Friday night, adolescents and young adults get together to dance, play video games, watch movies, make crafts, have snacks and hang out. It is a perfect opportunity to have some fun and develop those really important social skills. We have moved to a partially online format using ZOOM.

For 2022-2023 we are hosting a hybrid FNS program. Most events will be on ZOOM. But we are planning 3 IN PERSON FNS Dances for Halloween, Valentines and End of the Year. There’s always music, games, contests, and lots of chatting and joking around. Every week is a new theme. FNS runs most Friday nights, September through the end of June, from 7:00 – 8:30.

There is a nominal fee for the Virtual FNS events. $30 for the rest of 2022-2023 year of virtual FNS events. YOU ONLY NEED TO REGISTER ONE TIME! These are the last 3 events of the 2022 – 2023 year!

Here is the one time link.
