Our students had an incredible time at our special in-house event with Scientist in School! The afternoon was packed with hands-on activities that sparked curiosity, creativity, and learning.
The students started by exploring the difference between baking soda and baking powder in a fun chemistry experiment, gaining a deeper understanding of how these everyday ingredients react. Next, they dived into genetics by creating their own fantastical creatures while learning about dominant and recessive genes. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to explore how traits are passed down in unique and imaginative ways!
The excitement continued as they built and tested their very own pompom launchers, diving into the world of physics by investigating force, motion, and energy. To wrap up the day, students discovered the wonders of aeronautics by constructing and testing their own planes, learning about flight and engineering principles in a hands-on way.
This event was not just educational—it was a chance for students to see how science is all around them in the most creative and fun ways. And the best part? This is only the beginning of their journey into the world of science!
