At Launch, students learn how to manage their finances by using debit cards for expenses like lunches, Community Outings, snacks, entrance fees, and TTC trips. Each month, students create a budget and email it to their parents, outlining the amount needed for essentials like meals, outings, transportation, and discretionary spending.
Learning to budget is an important life skill that helps students gain control over their finances. By tracking their spending and planning ahead, students can ensure they have enough for both necessary expenses and fun activities, while avoiding overspending. Budgeting also teaches responsibility and helps students build confidence in managing money.
The ability to stick to a budget now will set students up for financial success in the future. Whether it’s saving for something special or making sure all essentials are covered, budgeting empowers students to make informed financial decisions every day. 💳📊
